What the service is
A QR code generator. The free version makes static codes in your browser.
Acceptable use
Do not use Made to Scan to create codes that point to:
- Malware, or anything meant to harm a device or steal data.
- Phishing or scams.
- Illegal content, or content that infringes someone else's rights.
- Anything else that is abusive or deceptive.
You are responsible for where your codes lead.
Scan reliability and printing
- Codes are decode-checked before download. That is not a guarantee that a printed code will scan.
- Print size, material, colors, lighting, and printer quality all matter.
- Test your finished print before you publish or print in bulk.
- You are responsible for printed codes, including their cost, content, and destination.
- Static codes cannot be changed after printing.
Your logos and content
You must have the right to use any logo or content you add. You keep ownership of what you make.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for your purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. That includes lost profits and the cost of reprinting codes that fail to scan.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top of this page. If you keep using the service after a change, you accept it.
