The short version
- The free generator runs in your browser.
- Your destination URL and your logo never leave your device.

Free generator
- What you type stays with you. We build the QR code on your device. The destination URL and any logo you add are not sent to us or stored by us.
- No account. You do not need to sign up or give us your email.
- No cookies. The app does not set cookies.
- No analytics today. We do not currently run analytics on the free page.
- Hosting. The site is hosted on infrastructure provided by Cloudflare. Like any website host, they may keep standard technical logs, for example that a page was requested. We do not control those logs or use them to track you.
- Static codes. A free code holds your destination inside the image. It does not pass through us. It keeps working without us, as long as your destination works.
Download counts
When you download a QR code from the free generator, your browser sends us one anonymous message: the file format (PNG or SVG) and whether you added a logo. We add one to a daily counter. That is all.
- We do not receive or store your destination URL or your logo.
- We do not store your IP address, browser details, or any cookie or identifier with it.
- The counter is a set of totals per day. It cannot identify you or link a download to you.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share data only with the services needed to run the site. Today that is Cloudflare, our host.
Children
Made to Scan is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
